Sustainable Livelihoods

Objective:
To equip individuals and families with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed for economic self-sufficiency and resilience.

Description:
The “Sustainable Livelihoods” program aims to reduce poverty and improve living standards by providing training and resources in various income-generating activities. We focus on sustainable agriculture, small business management, and vocational skills development.

Our agricultural programs teach modern and sustainable farming techniques, including crop diversification, organic farming, and livestock management. We also provide seeds, tools, and access to markets, helping farmers increase productivity and income. In addition, we offer training in small business management, covering topics such as financial literacy, marketing, and customer service, to help individuals start and grow their own businesses.

For those interested in vocational skills, we offer courses in trades such as tailoring, carpentry, and welding. These skills not only provide immediate job opportunities but also empower individuals to become entrepreneurs, creating jobs within their communities.

Impact Stories:
“Before joining the poultry farming training, I struggled to make ends meet. Now, I run a small poultry business, and the income has been steady. I can provide for my family, and I have plans to expand.”Simon, Program Participant

“The small business training gave me the confidence and skills to open my own tailoring shop. It’s been a challenging journey, but SacredHearts has been there to support me every step of the way.”Chipo, Entrepreneur
